Boyles Court.

This project is sat within 16.5 acres of parkland to the south west of Brentwood. Centred around a late 18th Century Grade 2 brick and render former residence, Essex County Council used this as a controlled remand home and had become surplus to requirements. The original house had been subjected to substantial, mostly unsympathetic extensions. <br><br> The proposals are to remove all 20th century additions and convert the original dwelling into 10 luxury apartments with 20 new build houses and apartments to the rear. The design of the new works takes the form of a linked courtyard arrangement; this form takes inspiration from traditional relationships of stables and outbuildings to their major residence. <br><br> The listed building is externally restored to it’s former glory and the extensive parkland is reinstated. We worked closely with both the planners and the conservation officer on this project to achieve the Planning permission in 2018 with commencement on site shortly after.
